Doris Howell writes… My daughter, Robin, who is now 42 years old, tells me that when she and her boyfriend were in high school, they would come home after a date and sat in the den which was just down from the master bedroom. He would come in the bedroom and look at me because he could not believe that it was me snoring so loud. He never told me about it, he was always so polite to me. My family tells me that I snore like a train, I am sure that he was always laughing inside whenever he saw me.

Husband’s Snoring Lands Wife In Jail (AP Jun 17, 2005).

Maybe DeAnn Miller-Boschert will finally be able to get some sleep—in jail.

Miller-Boschert, 45, stabbed her husband with a pen and hit him over the head with a 3-pound dumbbell to get him to stop snoring Thursday, police said.

She was charged with simple assault, a misdemeanor, after her husband called police from a convenience store.

Police Sgt. Jeff Skuza said the woman first poured water on her husband, but that did not wake him up. “She then stabbed him with a pen in the arm twice,” he said. “After he went back to sleep after the pen thing, she woke him up again with a workout weight.”

Skuza said the man was not seriously hurt and did not seek medical attention. “He did have some scratches on his shoulders and arms that he said were from previous attacks,” Skuza said. Skuza said the man returned to his home after calling police.

“I assume he went back to sleep,” Skuza said.

In my youth, when I was dating a Bad-Boy pot-smoking back-to-nature mountain-climbing guy, I discovered that his weed habit caused him to snore like he was 60 years old, fat and out of shape.

Now I’m married with children and my nice husband does none of the above!

Estonia (Date and Place TBD)

They actually sold my book to be translated and published in Estonia. I didn’t even know they snored in Estonia. Before this, I had thought Estonia was a gland in my throat, near my Uvula, which was removed to stop my snoring.

When my book is published in Estonia I hope they fly me out for a book signing. Before I go, I’ll have to learn how to say "Hello, thank you for buying my book," "Do you snore?" and "Where is the bathroom?" in Estonian.
